Operations
  • Improve EMR according to clinic-wide feedback
  • Evaluate and integrate new clinic model (Urgent Care vs Continuity Care)
  • Increase sense of community within clinic
  • Improve communication amongst steering committees members, student-doctors, and administration
  • Create a system of accountability

Finance (Traditional & Grants/PR)
  • Improve monthly reports, communication with administration
  • Reassign and redefine roles: set grant writer, website, monthly invoice
  • Increase accountability

Lab
  • Create fully operational send out service at Chandler: set up with EMR and CEED program
  • Monitor spending of lab such as frequency of testing etc.

Pharmacy
  • Improve communication between committee and administration
  • Integrate EMR into committee operations

Public Health/Patient Recruitment
  • Improve communication among committee as well as M1/M2s
  • Encourage student-doctor teams come to Elijah's soup kitchen to engage with the population we serve
  • Use EMR to track patient recruitment

QI
  • Align closely to a Community-Oriented Primary Care (COPC) model
  • Integrate EMR into committee operations
  • Work together with other committees

Education Committee

  • Improve communication between committee and student doctors
  • Streamline communication
  • Document students' progress online where students can access their progress throughout the year

Specialty Care
  • Track which teams were referred to a specialist 
  • Troubleshoot follow-up after a specialist referral
  • Tailor resources to different population as patient population changes
