Steering Committee Member of the Week: Joyce Lu

The Promise Clinic community has been up to some very exciting things since the last blog post. We successfully fundraised towards our endowment at the Keeping the Promise Gala (shh..more about that in a later post), spent a warm and food-filled Thanksgiving with our families, and are currently planning our Annual Ugly Sweater Night Out (shameless plug 😉) ! Today's blog post will be highlighting a steering committee member who not only was part of the Keeping the Promise Gala and the Ugly Sweater Night Out planning committees, but who has been putting in so much time and effort to bring the Promise Clinic community together and make sure that we have the financial support that we need to best serve our patients! Here's introducing, Joyce Lu, our first year representative on the Finance and Fundraising Steering Committee!

1. What was your favorite part of the Structures and Functions course that we just completed?

I really enjoyed anatomy lab, especially Head and Neck! 

2. What is the coolest thing you've been a part of, apart from Promise Clinic, of course 😝?

Farming meal worms to make protein powder in Guatemala with some friends after college.

3. What do you like to do on a day on which you have no responsibilities?

Probably rock climbing or hiking!
