Hello Promise Clinic Community!! We are back in full swing post summer hiatus. We'll resume Team of the Week posts shortly but before we do, we'd like to highlight the Promise Clinic members who recently received well-deserved recognition for their dedication to service and the community.
Dr. Frances Wu received a 2016 Volunteer Faculty Award for her work with Promise Clinic and within the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. Below is a picture of Dr. Wu from the Awards Ceremony on June 20th. The award was presented by Dr. Sherine Gabriel, Dean of the medical school (left), and Dr. Karen Lin, Faculty Advisor for Promise Clinic (right). Thank you Dr. Wu for your dedication to Promise Clinic!
Fourth year students were inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS) on August 5th. The society honors students who are nominated by their peers as "exemplars of excellence in compassionate care giving and empathy." Several Promise Clinic Steering Committee Members and Student Doctors were inducted into GHHS. Their names and positions are listed below. Congratulations!
